The Australian government has recently announced that it will partner with CRSA (Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia) in the design of a new community sponsorship program for refugees known as ‘CRISP’ (Community Refugee Integration and Settlement Pilot). This program will enable groups of everyday Australians (including those in regional communities) to welcome refugees into their local area from ‘day one’ of their Australian journey and provide them with practical resettlement and integration support, in line with other community sponsorship programs operating successfully around the world.
