🎵🎶 Songs of Inspiration - Coatsville Uniting Church Concert to Support Refugees
Songs of inspiration will feature music, song and performance celebrating God’s grace.
We will share in contemporary, original and classic music led by musicians, singers and performers from Leighmoor,
Coatesville and Murrumbeena Uniting churches.
Sit, reflect and feel free to sing along to great music of worship in a combined music event.
The concert will support Refugees and the food will be donated to Friends of Refugees
Please bring with you one (or more) long life food items,
ie pasta, or a pasta sauce, rice, tea, coffee, tinned tomatoes, tuna or any other long life item/s.
Footnote: Did you know that people seeking asylum in our community can be without the right to work and
without any income support.
At Friends of Refugees the demand for food is 50% higher than before the pandemic. Many people are
struggling in poverty and have no way to buy food.

Karima Hakimi, a Hazara refugee from Afghanistan who is detained in Indonesia is hoping to raise enough money to apply for private sponsorship for herself and her family to Canada. She has already raised over $17,000 of the $60,000 she needs. If you can make a donation, that would help her and her husband, four children and elderly mother to apply for re-settlement in Canada. If you have an account with Facebook or Instagram, please share this to spread the word.
Pick from these wonderful prizes: 700ml bottle of 12 y.o. Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky, Coles Group and Myer gift card value $75 and ‘Humans in Melbourne’ a coffee table book that combines photos of Melbourne with fascinating portraits of some of its citizens.
