Our happy get together in December last year was so successful we are going to do it again.

Picnic in the Park

12 noon, Tuesday 2 March

Dendy Park, Dacey Street Entrance (west side)

BRASA members and friends are invited to join us at a BYO picnic lunch in the park.

Bring your own picnic chair or rug

Covid and weather permitting, we will gather on the beach side of Dendy Park near the Dacey Street entrance. There is a car park on Dacey St that takes about 12 cars, and also on-street parking. There is a sheltered area with two large picnic tables under cover and a nearby gas barbecue and water point. There are toilets close by. There is plenty of grass and trees. Dogs are allowed in the park.

Because it is a popular spot, we would need to arrive early to stake our claim to the picnic tables. It is suggested that we arrive at 12 noon. Although there are benches around the tables, you may be more comfortable if you bring your own folding chair. It is only a short distance that you would need to carry it from the car park to the picnic shelter.

If it is raining or extremely hot, we might have to re-schedule the day. The Weather Bureau provides the forecast a week in advance, so if the weather looks unsuitable, we will have an opportunity to postpone the picnic to another day.

We will be having a raffle. More information later.
